Zuse and Zakara Lynn of Guardian Ridgebacks came from Texas - First major U.S. road trip
Zuse and Zakara were my first breeding pair as well as my first experience with their unique breed. I couldn't have asked for a better set of dogs. They thrived on affection and the connection with each other and the rest of my family members. Both dogs were raised together since their purchase date and got along very well with small children and other animals. They lived the typical county life with lots of room to run and play and were able to adapt to the colder winter with the proper facilities. They started the pack of protectors for my home and this made Guardian Ridgebacks the only appropriate name for the home of these magnificent members of my family.
We moved from an apartment in the worst part of town to a house in the country and they don't know what to do with all this space!!!
Rix was the first dog, a rescue, I owned outside of high school who helped raised the original breeding pair Zuse and Zakara Lynn. This remarkable dog is now retired in town with family loving the fluff life.

Rix, Zuse, and his daughter Sequoia Rain hiking at Palmer Park, Colorado Springs
Heartbroken, after Zakara Lynn passed away, there was a broken link in this pack that need to be repaired. MaiMei was an original replacement breeder, came down with a spinal condition and needed to be put to sleep for her well being after a long fight to get back to decent health; however, past these years of loss and hardship MaiLynn Rae became the welder to mend us back together and was the start of a full reboot of Guardian Ridgebacks! Blessed to have known Zakara Lynn and MaiMei, to share memories with them, we are equally smitten with MaiLynn and all the love that she has brought to this family!
